Terms & Policies
Effective Date: March 2026
1. Terms and Conditions
Welcome to Accessible Piano. By accessing and using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.
1.1 Digital Products and Usage
Accessible Piano provides high-quality digital sheet music and simplified arrangements of public domain classical pieces. Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the provided files (PDFs, audio, video) for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes only.
Redistribution is strictly prohibited. You may not share, sell, distribute, or publicly host the downloaded files or any access links provided by Accessible Piano.
1.2 Web-Based Interactive Features
Certain purchases include access to web-based interactive practice modes or visualizers hosted directly on our platform. While your ownership and right to download the associated static files (such as PDF sheet music and MP4 videos) is permanent, access to our online interactive modes is provided 'as is' and is contingent upon the continued operation of the website. We do not guarantee perpetual access to these web-hosted features and reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue them at any time without notice or liability.
1.3 User Accounts
To access your purchased library, you must create an account using a valid email address. We use a passwordless, one-time passcode (OTP) system. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your email account and the devices you use to log in via cookies.
1.4 Pricing and Payments
All prices are displayed on the website and are subject to change. Payment processing is securely handled by our third-party provider, Stripe. Accessible Piano does not store your credit card information.
1.5 Repertoire Subscription (Recurring Service)
The repertoire subscription is a recurring monthly service with no minimum term. Unless otherwise stated on the checkout page, the subscription renews automatically at the end of each monthly billing period until cancelled.
The current recurring price is displayed before checkout and in your account area.
As a small business in accordance with § 19 UStG, no VAT is charged.
By starting the subscription, you authorize recurring charges through Stripe using your selected payment method. The final charge amount is shown during checkout before payment is completed.
1.6 Contract Term, Renewal, and Cancellation
The subscription runs for an indefinite term with monthly billing cycles and can be cancelled at any time via your profile account page, with effect at the end of the current billing period.
You can cancel in your account profile via the clearly marked cancellation action. After cancellation, no further renewal charge will be made; access remains active until the already paid period ends.
Purchased individual pieces remain permanently available in your library even if your subscription ends.
1.7 Price Changes for Existing Subscriptions
If we change recurring subscription prices, we will inform affected subscribers in advance using an appropriate communication channel (for example email or account notice). Any such change applies only to future billing periods and never retroactively.
1.8 Technical Availability
We strive for high platform availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access at all times. Temporary downtime may occur for maintenance, security updates, or force majeure.
1.9 Consumer Information for Distance Contracts
Additional mandatory pre-contractual information for consumers (including provider identity, contact details, and complaint channels) is provided in our legal notice (Imprint/Impressum) and Privacy Policy, which form part of the legal information for this online store.
2. Refund Policy
Due to the immediate, digital nature of our products, all sales are generally considered final once the digital files have been made available for download or streaming.
However, we stand behind the quality of our arrangements. If you experience technical issues with a file, or if the product differs significantly from the provided audio preview or description, please contact us at support@accessiblepiano.com within 14 days of purchase. We will work with you to resolve the issue or, at our discretion, issue a refund.
For subscriptions, cancellation stops future renewals. Charges already made for an active billing period are generally non-refundable unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer law or in justified exceptional cases (for example duplicate billing or proven technical failure attributable to us).
3. Right of Withdrawal
Consumers in the European Union have a statutory right of withdrawal. However, there are legal exceptions for digital content.
Premature Expiry of the Right of Withdrawal
In the case of a contract for the delivery of digital content not strictly on a physical data carrier (such as our PDF and MP3 downloads), your right of withdrawal expires prematurely if we have started executing the contract after you have:
- Expressly agreed that we begin the execution of the contract before the expiry of the withdrawal period, and
- Confirmed your knowledge that by agreeing to the start of execution, you lose your right of withdrawal once the download or streaming is made accessible.
By completing a purchase and clicking the download/library access link, you acknowledge and agree to this waiver of the withdrawal right for digital goods.
Subscription-Specific Withdrawal Information
If you are a consumer in the EU, you generally have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal for subscription contracts concluded at a distance.
If you expressly request that the subscription service starts during the withdrawal period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already provided until withdrawal. Where legally applicable and explicitly consented to during checkout, the withdrawal right may expire once the service has been fully performed.
4. Dispute Resolution and Governing Law
The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
We are not obliged and do not generally agree to participate in consumer arbitration proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, unless mandatory law requires otherwise.
To the extent legally permissible, contracts are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of habitual residence remain unaffected.
